Right around the fifth anniversary or 9/11 I got into a heated and long debate about the silly ass 9/11 conspiracy movie “Loose Change” over at Dave Dresden’s MySpace blog. If you’ve never heard of Dave he is half of the hit dance music DJ duo Gabriel & Dresden. I’m a huge fan of Dave’s musical genius but needless to say his historical and political stances could use a little work. Like most people who are somewhat knowledgeable about current events nothing pisses me off more than celebrities speaking to their masses about things they obviously don’t have a clue about. Queue my huge rants on Dave’s blog.
The reason I am bringing this up over a month after 9/11 was because for some reason the 9/11 wackos are everywhere this week. The hack job professor Jim Fetzer was on The O’Reilly Factor this week and Bill literally picks the guy apart. I’ll be honest, I’m not the biggest fan of O’Reilly but this interview made me a believer again if just for a while. I’m a lot like O’Reilly when it comes to my arguments I am just as cocky but with a little more sense of humor about it. Like him, I have no problems belittling someone if they deserve it and obviously this tool did… check out the video over at HotAir. I swear jackass professors like this guy are why I’ve dropped out of college more times than Robert Downey Jr. has dropped out of rehab.
Okay, the real reason I brought this fiasco up is because of the hilarious new South Park episode that aired this past week on Comedy Central. The 8th episode of the 10th season,Mystery of the Urinal Deuce poked fun at 9/11 conspiracy theorists better than I could ever dream to. I’ll admit that I’m a closet fan of South Park and have been for a while if for no other reason than Matt Stone and Trey Parker’s hatred of holier-than-thou celebrities. You can watch the episode in its entirety at The Political Pit Bull but beware, just like anything South Park it isn’t for the faint of heart.
In closing, all of the 9/11 myths can be squashed like the trash they are with one article; this Popular Mechanics article gives you all the scientific proof any sane person would ever need. It is an amazing read even if you don’t need to know that what really happened that day was an act of terror… anyone who cares about the people that died that day and would love to remember them the right way should give it a look.
