Trent Reznor the mastermind behind Nine Inch Nails has released a new song to the masses for free… yet another black eye for the old-school music business model. The song titled “Discipline” was mastered by Trent’s long-time producer Alan Moulder just 24 hours before the release to radio stations and fans across the world. By heading to the band’s official website and simply entering in a valid email address and your zip code an email arrives with a link to download a high quality MP3 which includes album artwork and lyrics embedded within. The ID3 tag of the MP3 also notes to check back to nin.com on May 5th for announcement, which all signs point to a new album release that day.
