Many New Topics to Discuss…

Just a quick FYI… I’ve been jotting down ideas for upcoming posts for this blog and the list has now exceeded over 100 things I’m ready to write about. I have a huge range of topics I want to discuss but I think the first items I am going to focus on will be free and open source applications for your computer that will help you make it through the day… anotherwords the computer geek in me needs a place to rant for a while and in the process hopefully I’ll help some of my not-so-tech-savy friends figure out a thing or two. In these posts I will introduce you to applications or websites and guide you through the basic steps of using it, a quick and painless “how-to” if you will.

Seeing as I work in IT and have for nearly a decade now it is amazing how many times I get asked the same questions by my family or friends, or how many times I’ve had to help with the most basic of problems… so hopefully you’re still reading by now and I haven’t scared you away with my “geek speak” because I think I’ll be able to offer at least a couple of things for each and everyone of you out there to help improve your computer experience. Have one of those annoying pop-up ads slowing down your computer down? Have digital images you wish you could get the red eye out of? Wish you could quickly and easily share your pictures with friends and family? Well, these are just some of the topics I’ll be covering over the coming weeks.

So, make sure to check back tomorrow when I get it started with a free and easy to use photo editing softare (no more red eyes!)… and keep coming back for at least the next few weeks as I will continue to bring you more cool free stuff.
