Today is the day that Microsoft launches their new operating system Windows 7 to the general public. Windows 7 is a pivotal moment for Microsoft as they try to come back after the awful launch of the much-hated Windows Vista. I personally really liked Vista but the launch was rushed and the initial drivers support from hardware vendors was flat out pathetic.
I’ve been running Windows 7 in Beta form since late February of this year and I’ve been running the retail version of Windows 7 x64 Ultimate since early August with no problems. I love this operating system, it is everything that Windows Vista should have been. If you have a PC and are thinking of upgrading, stop thinking and buy Windows 7 today!
It’s faster, more stable, has great driver support and the user-interface is fantastic. You won’t regret it. Apple and Linux should watch out because Windows 7 is putting Microsoft back on the map in the OS game.
