Microsoft’s SkyDrive Kills Thumb Drives.

It is amazing the growth of technology over the past decade and a half. I get a lot of questions from my not-so-tech-savy family and friends regarding storage, especially on what are the best ways for mobile storage as in what do I use for files that I need to be able to access from anywhere. Well, [...]

Viewzi Takes a Visual Approach to Web Search.

Alexander Muse of the Texas Startup Blog sent out a Twitter alert earlier about an amazing new search startup called Viewzi. The site which officially launches next week offers unique visual ways to sort through your web searches. Pulling in data from various other search engines such as Google, Live and Yahoo Viewzi offers visual [...]

Using Adobe Contribute

I’m testing the usage of Adobe Contribute CS3 on my blog… blah blah blah. I’ll be publishing this page but won’t go into detail about it… a "How To" will come soon if I choose to use it.
EDIT: Adobe Contribute CS3 seems to work really well with WordPress 2.5.1… looks like I found a [...]

HOW TO: Setup and Use AVG Anti-Virus.

A little over a week ago I mentioned I had some great technology ideas to write about and then I went on to post about Picasa and Picasa Web; well here I am again bringing you yet another free product to help make your life more simple. AVG Anti-Virus is an anti-virus and anti-spyware tool [...]

HOW TO: Share Your Photos With the World.

Yesterday I took you through a five minute process for setting up and using the absolutely free Picasa photo organizer and editor. Well, today in the words of Emeril; it’s time to take your photo shenanigans up “another notch” (sorry for the ridiculous reference… but I am a Food Network HD whore). Today I’m going [...]

HOW TO: Picasa Photo Organizer and Editor.

In the first installment of my free and opensource software applications I’m going to introduce you to Picasa, which is a photo organizer and editor brought to you for absolutely nothing by the internet behemoth Google. Picasa was originally founded and created by the business-incubator/think-tank Idealab but was purchased by Google for an undisclosed amount [...]

Many New Topics to Discuss…

Just a quick FYI… I’ve been jotting down ideas for upcoming posts for this blog and the list has now exceeded over 100 things I’m ready to write about. I have a huge range of topics I want to discuss but I think the first items I am going to focus on will be free and open [...]

38 1080p Wallpapers, Courtesy of Nine Inch Nails.

I know I’ve kind of beaten a dead horse when it comes to me talking about Nine Inch Nails on this blog, especially since it’s relaunch… but screw it, there’s a lot of good news regarding Trent and company so I’m going to keep em coming. Late last week I was lucky enough to [...]

Site Re-Launch Version 2.0

Just a few months ago I took the time to relaunch my blog… and then I really didn’t do that much. I was never really happy with how it looked so I’ve taken the liberty to upgrade the backend of the site as well as the frontend and give it another go. I’ve been making [...]

Nine Inch Nails is at it again!

Less than two weeks ago I wrote about Trent Reznor giving away his latest single for free… well, he has officially “one up’d” himself by giving away his new album for free. Yup, that’s right… the techno-sexual known as Trent Reznor has taken it upon himself to “repay” his long-time fans by giving away his new album “The Slip” completely free of charge, he simply states “this one’s on me” in the announcement from his official website. By going to theslip.nin.com and registering via a valid email address you receive the option of downloading the file directly in MP3 format (including a PDF art book) or you can download high quality loss-less audio formats via BitTorrent including FLAC, M4A and WAVE.
